What We Are Looking For

TLM is searching for seasonal workers interested in the outdoors and able to work long hours at competitive wages. College or University students make great applicants for this position due to the industry demand peaking throughout the summer months, which allows students to gain work experience and save money during their time off. Employees will be trained and certified Vegetation Control Technicians. Technicians are responsible for the identification and evaluation of noxious weeds on industrial sites. Technicians must then apply a control to the site based on their evaluation. Employees should have good teamwork and communication skills as they may be required to work and collaborate with others. For example, employees will be directly communicating with field level clients, therefore they must be professional and respectful when representing Terry’s Lease Maintenance. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Use herbicides to control vegetation
  • Operate & Maintain equipment (Trucks & sprayers)
  • Mixing & loading of herbicides
  • Problem solving & fast thinking
  • Ability to read maps and drive to rural locations
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work
  • Ability to drive ¾ and 1 ton trucks
  • Willing to work varied and long hours depending on weather
  • Excellent communication and personal skills
  • Complete paperwork such as Pesticide Application Records (PAR’s), Field Level Hazard Assessment (FLA or JHA), and Machinery inspection checklists
  • Perform housekeeping duties as required- All equipment must be kept clean to maintain safety features and represent TLM in an acceptable manner.
  • Other duties as requested

Required Experience and Qualifications

  •  Pesticide applicator ticket and/or experience is an asset but not required
  • Landscape or outside maintenance experience
  • Driver’s License
  • H2S Alive
  • First-Aid

*Will supply certifications such as, Bear Aware, TDG, and CSO
